Hi, I’m Yara-Nee Dennis.
I’m a Jamaican travel creator, freelance Website Developer turned Project Manager, and the founder of Jattractions. Travel has always been a big part of my life, but so has something deeper: freedom.
Freedom to choose my own path, move on my own terms, and design a life that feels intentional. Over time, I turned that mindset into reality through small but consistent lifestyle changes that allowed me to travel more and build a life around exploration.
Along the way, I’ve experienced both incredible highs and difficult moments. From meeting inspiring people and exploring beautiful destinations to facing challenges like theft, racism, and financial setbacks.
Every experience has shaped how I see the world and strengthened my desire to help others travel more confidently and intentionally.

I’ve never really separated travel from who I am.
For me, travel is not just about going places. It’s about understanding them.
I focus on culture, people, food, history, and everyday life beyond tourist attractions. I believe the best travel experiences come from slowing down and engaging with destinations on a deeper level.

My Travel Quest
Outside of Jamaica, I continue to explore the world and share my experiences across different countries and cultures.
I’ve already visited several countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, all of Central America, and most of South America, and I continue to expand my journey globally.
One of my long-term goals is to visit every country in the world, not just as a traveler, but as someone documenting cultures and experiences along the way.
Originally, I wanted to be the first Jamaican to achieve this, but even as that milestone evolves, the mission remains the same: to explore the world deeply and share what I learn to inspire others to do the same.

Jamaica is a core part of my journey and one of the main focuses of Jattractions.
Beyond the well-known attractions, I’m documenting the island in a deeper way. Exploring food, culture, hidden gems, historical sites, celebrations, hotels, and everyday life across all parishes.
My goal is to show Jamaica beyond the typical tourist experience and highlight the richness that exists across the island.

- I celebrated 10 years of travel adventures with Jattractions at Disney World.
- I celebrated by 35th birthday.
- We redesigned and launched the new website.
- We completed Season 1 of the “Journey to 198 Countries” Series on YouTube where I showed the first 7 countries on my quest to visit every country in the world.
- I visited all the countries in Central America.
- I traveled to 21 countries.
- I was homeless and lived out of a suitcase for a year. 😀
- I registered and launched my Travel Agency business.
- I hit my 30th birthday and did my first photoshoot.
- I gave away my furniture, gave up my apartment, and prepared for a one-year travel adventure.
- I left Jamaica to travel for a year and began my journey to visit every country in the world.
- I spent winter holidays in Mexico; a dream I’ve had since 2018.
- I traveled to my first Spanish-speaking country.
- I traveled for the first time to Central America.
- I started the “12 Travels of Christmas” series where I visit 12 attractions in a parish in Jamaica.
- I became a registered travel agent and Jamaica specialist.
- I started exploring Jamaica.
- I created a YouTube channel and launched the first Jattractions website.
- I visited all 14 parishes in Jamaica in 14 days.
- I planned my first international solo trip.
- I graduated from university with a Bachelors of Science in Computing.
- The idea for Jattractions was conceived through frustration that there was not a map showing every attraction in Jamaica.
- The name “Jattractions” was created shortly after.
- I planned my first travel excursion in Jamaica.
- I got my first job.
- I traveled solo for the first time.
- This is the year I decided to add more places to my travel bucket list.
- I gained friends from more than 10 countries.
